Bucket List: Wells, Maine CHECK
For years I have been researching my family tree. I love to find out interesting facts from the past. One tree branch I stumbled onto was my 8th great grandfather who was born in England.
Edmond Littleton came to the America in the 1600's. He ended up bringing his family to the coast of Maine. They were one of the first families to settle in the town of Wells, Maine.
Littleton built the first dwelling in Wells in 1641. He also built the first saw and grist mill along the Webhannet Falls. This visit has been on my bucket list for at least ten years. I was so excited to be able to actually see the site of the dwelling and mill.
