What is a Jammock?

The Jammock is a hammock-style accessory that fits all Jeep Wranglers from 1987 to the present. It's designed to be used when your Jeep is topless, creating a comfortable lounging space on top of your vehicle.

Installation and Quality

Easy Setup

Installing the Jammock is surprisingly simple, taking only about 5 minutes. However, there's an important tip to keep in mind:

Tip #1: Ensure you thread the strap from the bottom of the buckle for proper installation.

Improper Jammock buckle install

The Jammock uses high-quality NRS Buckles, which are known for their corrosion resistance and strength. Each buckle is rated for an impressive 2,000 lbs, providing a secure and reliable attachment.

Durable Materials

The Jammock is constructed with 1000 Denier Cordura Nylon, which is both water-resistant and breathable. This high-quality material ensures durability and comfort, making it suitable for various outdoor conditions.

Versatility

While primarily designed as a hammock, the Jammock offers several other uses:

  • Overhead storage
  • Pet barrier between front and rear seats
  • Wind jammer
  • Lounge chair on the back roll bars
  • Sling seat hammock off the vehicle

Comfort and Experience

Many users find the Jammock to be incredibly comfortable. It's been described as "amazing" and "incredibly secure and sturdy," even supporting weights of up to 300 lbs. Some Jeep enthusiasts have found it perfect for taking breaks during outdoor activities like paddle boarding.

Tip #2: For easier access, especially in lifted Jeeps, try climbing into the Jammock from the back seat.

Potential Challenges

While the Jammock is designed to fit most Wranglers, some users may need to improvise on strap placement depending on their specific Jeep model and roll bar configuration. Additionally, keeping the Jammock up when not in use might interfere with driving in some setups.
